So far, I really like this book! It's kind of to get into at the beginning but the more you read the more interesting it becomes. My favorite character as of right now is Noah, I like the way he thinks about things and how the author demonstrates it by putting (Self Portrait: _______) or something like that at the bottom of almost every page that Noah narrates.
I don't like their parents, I feel like Noah and Jude are right when they say they have favorites. Most kids always say their parents have favorites but you can tell it's not really true, in this book you can kind of tell it is. It really gets on my nerves that the dad favors Jude, she has a lot of cool qualities and maybe she's what her dad always wanted in a kid, but Noah is really interesting too. I think the dad really lost his chance at getting to know him because he's so closed off now. Same for Jude and her mom.
I really want to find out more about the English guy and how he's tied to the sculptor. In both Noah and Jude's meeting him, he seemed all charming and happy at first but then something happens that shows that all of that is an act. Like the drinking with Noah, and going home to the sculptor with Jude. Hopefully the author will tell us more about him.
Lastly, I love the new kid that Noah meets. I feel like there's going to be so many other weird things to find out about him, and maybe he'll play a huge part in Noah's part of the story.
